BA\u00d1UELOS, ABOGADO DE INMIGRACI\u00d3N DE LOS ANGELES<\/h2>\n<div class=\"textblock\">\n<h3>MICA POR SER V\u00cdCTIMA DE VIOLENCIA DOM\u00c9STICA<\/h3>\n<p>El programa VAWA [violencia contra la mujer] permite que apliquen por si mismos para residencia permanente legal en este pa\u00eds (una mica) toda persona que sea un c\u00f3nyuge\/hijo menor de un residente permanente legal\/ciudadano de este pa\u00eds, o que es un padre de un hijo adulto ciudadano que ha sufrido maltrato por parte de estos mismos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"textblock\">\n<h3>BENEFICIOS DISPONIBLES BAJO ESTE PROGRAMA<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\"><\/i>un permiso de trabajo mientras que la petici\u00f3n para residencia permanente este pendiente;<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\"><\/i>protecci\u00f3n contra deportaci\u00f3n o remoci\u00f3n y permiso para vivir en este pa\u00eds legalmente mientras que la petici\u00f3n este pendiente;<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\"><\/i>atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica gratis y otros beneficios del gobierno tales como dinero y cupones o estampillas de comida, mientras que la peticion este pendiente; y<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-caret-right\"><\/i>obtener su residencia permanente legal sin la ayuda del c\u00f3nyuge\/padre, o hijo ciudadano que lo maltrat\u00f3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"textblock\">\n<h3>REQUISITOS QUE SE TIENEN QUE CUMPLIR PARA SER ELEGIBLE PARA ESTE PROGRAMA<\/h3>\n<p>1. Viva en este pa\u00eds al presente (excepto en casos de circunstancias especiales);<br \/>\n2. Haya vivido con su c\u00f3nyuge por alg\u00fan tiempo sin importar si fu\u00e9 en este pa\u00eds, o fuera;<br \/>\n3. Su c\u00f3nyuge la maltrat\u00f3 a Ud. o a sus hijos durante su matrimonio;<br \/>\n4. Su c\u00f3nyuge es ciudadano Americano o tiene mica. Si su c\u00f3nyuge ten\u00eda mica pero lo deportaron por haberla maltratado, Ud. aun puede tener derecho a participar en el programa. Si se divorci\u00f3 recientemente debido al maltrato que recib\u00eda, tambi\u00e9n es posible que califique para este programa;<br \/>\n5.El matrimonio con su c\u00f3nyuge fu\u00e9 por amor y no por inter\u00e9s a los papeles;<br \/>\n6. El maltrato de un c\u00f3nyuge contra otro puede manifestarse de varias formas;<br \/>\na). \u00bfSu c\u00f3nyuge amenaza con golpear a Ud. o a sus hijos o asusta a Ud. o a sus hijos?<br \/>\nb). La violencia es f\u00edsica? Por ejemplo, si su c\u00f3nyuge le pega, le da de pu\u00f1etazos, le da bofetadas, le da puntapi\u00e9s, la empuja o lastima a Ud. o a sus hijos de alguna otra manera;<br \/>\nc). \u00bfHay abuso emocional? Por ejemplo le insulta a Ud. o a sus hijos en la casa o en p\u00fablico;<br \/>\nd). \u00bfSu c\u00f3nyuge le obliga a tener relaciones sexuales cuando Ud. no quiere?<br \/>\ne). \u00bfSu c\u00f3nyuge amenaza con quitarle a los ni\u00f1os o con lastimarlos?<br \/>\nf). \u00bfSu c\u00f3nyuge le amenaza con denunciarla\/o a las autoridades de inmigraci\u00f3n? y<br \/>\ng). \u00bfSu c\u00f3nyuge controla todas sus salidas, todo lo que hace y con qui\u00e9n sale?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lead\">\n<p>Si su respuesta a, por lo menos, una de estas preguntas fue &#8220;si&#8221;, Ud. ha sido v\u00edctima de maltrato que le podr\u00eda calificar para este programa:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"textblock\">\n<p>1. Los hijos menores de una v\u00edctima de maltrato tambi\u00e9n pueden ser incluidos en una petici\u00f3n para este programa, hayan sido o no v\u00edctimas del abuso. Si los hijos menores tambi\u00e9n han sido maltratados, ellos pueden aplicar por su cuenta; y<br \/>\n2. Padres que han sido maltratados por sus hijos adultos, ciudadanos tambi\u00e9n pueden calificar para este programa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"textblock\">\n<h3>RESUMEN: COMO CONSEGUIR UNA MICA COMO V\u00cdCTIMA DE VIOLENCIA DOM\u00c9STICA<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"textblock\">\n<p>1.Vivir en este pa\u00eds;<br \/>\n2. Haber vivido con su c\u00f3nyuge\/padre\/hijo adulto ciudadano por un tiempo ya sea en este pa\u00eds o fuera de el;<br \/>\n3. Ha sido v\u00edctima de maltrato por parte de su c\u00f3nyuge o padre que es residente permanente\/ciudadano de este pa\u00eds, o de un hijo adulto ciudadano; y<br \/>\n4.
